Owen is passionate about Shakespeare and believes that no matter your age, class or nationality Shakespeare can and should be for everyone. Committed to empowering actors with his work, his talent for teaching has engaged audiences around the world.

He believes that for too long Shakespeare has been confined to history books leaving his work feeling unapproachable for actors and audiences. With Bard City his objective is simple: shatter the reverence surrounding Shakespeare and grasp a fresh, revolutionary approach to this text.

Bard City began a partnership with Classic Stage Company in 2017 and hold  regular workshops at the theatre. Across Jan/Feb 2018 Bard City will hold two new workshops as well a special event 'Shakespeare in a Week'.
